Ohio Theta Chapter of the Phi Kappa Psi
Fraternity

Welcome to the Ohio Theta chapter of Phi Kappa
Psi. Whether you are an active brother, an
alumnus checking up on your home chapter, or a
potential new member seeking information on Phi
Kappa Psi, I sincerely hope you find this
website useful.
An organization that values friendship, honor,
and "the great joy of serving others," Phi Kappa
Psi maintains a unique character among college
fraternities. Men of varying backgrounds,
political beliefs, race, and religion come
together under the phrase "United by Friendship,
Sustained by Honor, and Led by Truth; We Live
and Flourish" in order to be part of something
larger than themselves. Emphasis is placed on
the continued academic, ethical, and spiritual
growth of brothers throughout their time as
active members of the chapter.
I am proud to tell you that Ohio Theta upholds
the ideals of Phi Kappa Psi today as strongly as
when we were founded at Ashland over forty years
ago. Although young within the 155-year
traditions of the National Fraternity, Ohio
Theta has produced men of excellent leadership
caliber that have contributed to the continued
success of the chapter both locally and
nationally. Our resources for bringing out the
potential in our membership are unrivalled in
the Greek world: each spring we send brothers to
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico to attend the American
Leadership Academy; summers find us attending
either the Grand Arch Council or the Woodrow
Wilson Leadership School in various major U.S.
cities (past events have been held in Las Vegas,
New Orleans, and Indianapolis at our National
Headquarters); winter heralds the President's
Leadership Academy at beautiful Laurel Hall and
Indianapolis Convention Center. Our alumni
support us in these opportunities, providing
guidance and funds to continue to make our
chapter the best it can be.
In addition to these national events, Phi Kappa
Psi Ohio Theta boasts representation in several
organizations on campus. Phi Psis currently
hold positions in Student Senate (the chief
student legislative body), the Honors Society,
the Ashbrook Scholars Program, Campus Activities
Board (CAB), Club Soccer, Students in Free
Enterprise (SIFE), and many others. Through
these venues, our members are able to live the
ideals of Phi Kappa Psi and demonstrate to
others the character and goals of our noble
fraternity.
Ashland University has a lot to offer for the
student willing to put the effort into looking;
Greek life is no exception! Phi Kappa Psi seeks
men of the highest caliber to maintain her
standards, and the lifelong experience is second
to none. I hope that you take the time to check
us out, and perhaps I will see you at the next
recruitment event.
Fraternally yours,
Dan Ball...
President of Phi Kappa Psi
